Getting started with SiteLens

Search

Search planning applications from the councils we cover. It is free on every plan.

1. Open Search in the left menu and type what you want in plain English, for example approved warehouse extensions near Manchester. Press Enter.
2. Your words become filters above the results. Click the cross on a filter to remove it.
3. Narrow things down with the filters, or switch to the map view to see where applications are.

Alerts

An alert emails you new applications that match a search, each morning or once a week.

1. Run a search with a keyword, a place, a council or a project type.
2. If you have not made an alert yet, a green box above the results may offer your first alert: click its button.
3. After that, while you have room for another alert, Get this as a daily alert appears above the results: click it to save a search.
4. To change an alert, open Alerts in the left menu and click the alert. You can change what it matches and how often it emails you.

Free includes 1 alert and Pro includes 5.

Who is behind an application PRO

Pro shows who the applicant and the agent are and how to reach them, where contact details are available. The agent is often the architect or planning consultant.

1. Open an application from your morning email, or click one in Search and then View full record, or View full record & contacts where there are contacts on file.
2. Click Who to contact below the address to jump to the applicant and the agent.
3. Many company names are links. Where we hold a profile for the company, the link opens it.

Companies PRO

A company’s profile lists its applications and the councils where it files most. Frequently works with lists the companies we have matched to its applications, most shared first, once there are any.

1. On a company’s profile, Look for more contacts searches for its business email and phone. Pro includes a monthly allowance, set out on Pricing.
2. Also on a company’s profile, Alert me on new applications puts new applications naming the company in your morning email. It uses one of your alerts.
3. On Pro, to find developers near you, open Companies in the left menu, enter a postcode and set Role to Developers.

Leads

Leads is a simple pipeline for the applications and companies worth following up.

1. Click Save on an application or a company, then open Leads in the left menu.
2. Move each lead along its stages: New, Contacted, Responded, Quoted, Won or Lost.
3. Add a note or set a follow-up date on any lead.
4. If you save an application before it is decided, the decision comes through in your morning email.

Free includes up to 10 saved leads. Pro has no limit.

Export PRO

Take results out of SiteLens as a spreadsheet.

1. In the list view of Search, click Export above the results and choose CSV.
2. In Leads, Export also offers For CRM, a file with HubSpot and Salesforce columns.
3. Each download holds up to 2,500 rows. The monthly allowance is set out on Pricing.
