M&E, building services and structural work from planning, for £39 a month.
- Glenigan
- No public price. Reviews from 2024 quote renewals of £3,500 to £6,800 a year. Bigger contracts run higher: a 2024 government contract for data, reports and analyst access was valued at £60,000 for one year. Contracts renew 12 months at a time unless you email 90 days’ notice.
- SiteLens
- £39 a month, or £29 a month billed annually, with no contract and a free plan to start. The smaller 2024 renewal above, £3,500, would pay for more than 7 years of Pro at £39 a month, or nearly 3 years of Team for up to 5 people.

Which should you choose?
Choose SiteLens if you run an M&E, building services or structural engineering practice and want the new schemes in your area tagged for your discipline, with the design team named on major schemes (Pro) and Companies House checks on the firms behind them. Start free, then £39 a month, or £29 a month billed annually, with no contract.
Choose Glenigan if you will use what its 160 researchers add by phone, such as confirmed values, bidders and decision-maker contacts, or its forecasts and in-house analysts, on a contract that renews a year at a time.
What SiteLens does better
The design team, named
On Pro, major schemes show the architect, structural engineer, M&E consultant and quantity surveyor where the planning documents name them. Every plan shows whether a role is named, so you know where a practice is already in place.
Your discipline, tagged
M&E, structural frame and steelwork are three of 22 works tags, so a building services practice can alert on M&E-heavy commercial and industrial schemes and leave householder work out.
Who works with whom
Companies House numbers are matched to applicants, agents and contractors on every plan. On Pro, each developer’s page lists its applications, its decision record and the firms it works with, structural engineers and M&E consultants included.
7,901 new applications tagged for M&E in the last 30 days
685 of them in the last 7 days. Figures to 3 Nov 2026, dated by when the council validated or received each application, or when SiteLens first found it.

When you should still pick Glenigan
Glenigan’s 160 researchers make more than a million calls a year, adding confirmed values, bidders and direct contacts for decision-makers, and its in-house analysts and economists add long-term forecasts by sector and region. If your practice bids for large projects across the UK and Ireland and plans on those forecasts, that research is what the fee pays for.
If you win most of your work in a region, you need the new schemes there, tagged for your discipline, with the design team the documents name and the developers behind them. That is SiteLens Pro at £39 a month, or £29 a month billed annually.

Frequently asked
Is Glenigan worth it for an engineering consultancy?
Glenigan publishes no price, 2024 reviews quote renewals of £3,500 to £6,800 a year, and its terms renew a contract 12 months at a time unless you email 90 days’ notice. If you only need the alerts on new schemes in your area, SiteLens Pro is £39 a month, or £29 a month billed annually.
Does SiteLens name the M&E consultant or structural engineer on a scheme?
On Pro, on major schemes whose planning documents name them, alongside the architect and quantity surveyor. Every plan shows whether each role is named.
Isn’t the design team already chosen by the time an application is public?
On many full applications it is, and the planning documents then name it (Pro), so you see which developers and architects use which practices. Outline applications reach SiteLens before the reserved matters that carry the detailed design. Glenigan’s own stage order puts Pre-Tender, Tenders and Contract Awarded after Plans Approved, so the contractor-side building services packages come later.
How does a consultancy leave a Glenigan contract?
By email notice to its contracts address at least 90 days before the renewal date. Glenigan’s terms say no other address, and no phone call, counts, and after the first year fees can rise, once a year, by up to RPI plus 5%. A monthly SiteLens plan is not billed again once you cancel in account settings.
Can I filter to the schemes with real M&E or structural content?
Yes. Filter by category, such as commercial or industrial, show major schemes only, set a minimum value band or floor area, pick the M&E, structural frame or steelwork tags, and save the search as a daily alert.
See it before you pay a penny.
