Window, door and glazing leads from planning, for £39 a month, with no annual contract.
- Glenigan
- No public price. Reviews from 2024 quote renewals of £3,500 to £6,800 a year. Bigger contracts run higher: a 2024 government contract for data, reports and analyst access was valued at £60,000 for one year. Contracts renew 12 months at a time unless you email 90 days’ notice.
- SiteLens
- £39 a month, or £29 a month billed annually, with no contract and a free plan to start. The smaller 2024 renewal above, £3,500, would pay for more than 7 years of Pro at £39 a month, or nearly 3 years of Team for up to 5 people.

What SiteLens does better
Filtered and same-week
SiteLens collects every new application across 380+ UK councils every night, tags the ones that need glazing, and emails your matches each morning: the window and door work in your patch, not a fat spreadsheet.
Heritage and retrofit work, flagged
Conservation areas and nearby listed buildings are among 24 planning designations checked on every mapped site, and an EPC filter picks out homes with a low rating on their own certificate. Both are free.
Who to call, checked
Pro names the applicant and agent, with the agent’s published email and phone, and the architect on major schemes whose planning documents name one. Companies House numbers are matched on every plan.
9,557 new applications tagged for glazing in the last 30 days
826 of them in the last 7 days. Figures to 3 Nov 2026, dated by when the council validated or received each application, or when SiteLens first found it.

When you should still pick Glenigan
Glenigan’s 160 researchers make more than a million calls a year, adding confirmed values, bidders and direct contacts for decision-makers, and its NBS partnership shows NBS customers the projects they were specified on. If you sell a specified product into large projects across the UK and Ireland, that research and specification data is what the fee pays for.
If your work is replacement windows and doors, heritage glazing and the new-build blocks in your region, you need the new applications in your patch, tagged for glazing and in your inbox each morning. That is SiteLens Pro at £39 a month, or £29 a month billed annually, and the free plan’s daily alert costs nothing.

Frequently asked
Is Glenigan worth it for a window and door firm?
Glenigan publishes no price, 2024 reviews quote renewals of £3,500 to £6,800 a year, and its terms renew a contract 12 months at a time unless you email 90 days’ notice. If you only need the alerts, SiteLens Pro is £39 a month, or £29 a month billed annually, and the free plan’s daily alert costs nothing.
Isn’t the contractor already chosen by the time an application is public?
Rarely, for a supplier. Glenigan’s own stage order runs Early Planning, Plans Approved, Pre-Tender, Tenders, Contract Awarded: tendering follows permission, and the window, door and facade packages are let by whoever wins. Planning shows you the scheme first. Pro names the applicant and agent, and the architect on major schemes whose documents name one.
Which window and door work needs planning permission?
Often none on a house outside a conservation area. Listed buildings, conservation areas with an Article 4 direction, flats and commercial buildings commonly do, and that is where specialist glazing gets specified. SiteLens flags conservation areas and nearby listed buildings on every mapped site, free.
Can a window firm get out of Glenigan’s auto-renewal?
Glenigan’s terms extend a contract 12 months at a time unless you email at least 90 days’ notice to its contracts address, and a phone call does not count. One 2024 review describes a firm asked for £6,800 after giving 82 days’ notice. A monthly SiteLens plan is not billed again once you cancel in account settings.
Can SiteLens tell me which products are specified?
No. SiteLens has no specification data, and Glenigan’s NBS partnership shows NBS customers the projects they were specified on. SiteLens reads each scheme’s planning documents for figures and the named project team, and lists every document, so you can open the drawings and statements yourself.
See it before you pay a penny.
